Over 25 lakh households have now installed rooftop solar under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, receiving cleaner energy and reduced electricity bills. Launched in February 2024, the scheme aims for 1 crore installations by FY 2026-27, with subsidies up to Rs 78,000 available.
