Hit-&-run case against Punjab judicial officer shifted to Delhi

The Supreme Court has transferred a hit-and-run case trial from Phagwara, Punjab, to Delhi’s Rohini courts. This decision was made after the victim’s widow expressed concerns about the fairness of the trial, given the accused is a probation judicial officer. The court also ordered the transfer of the widow’s compensation claim to Rohini.
